Shirley McCoy Saue December 3rd, 1929 - June 5th, 2016 Shirley McCoy Saue, of Clarkfield, died Sunday, June 5, 2016, at the Clarkfield Care Center at the age of 86. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at Clarkfield Lutheran Church. Pastor Gwen Bohlke and Pastor Chris Zuraff will officiate and interment will be at Clarkfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Lynner Funeral Home in Clarkfield with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. There will also be visitation at the church for one hour before the service. Shirley Alice (Fultz) Saue was born December 3, 1929, at Walhalla, North Dakota, the daughter of Frank and Jessie (Fraser) Fultz. She moved with her family to Montevideo as a teenager and began sewing to help care for the family. Shirley was united in marriage with Dale McCoy August 15, 1948. They made their home on a farm near Clarkfield. Shirley worked as a nurses assistant and a surgical tech at the Clarkfield Hospital and Luther Haven Nursing Home. She completed her GED in 1981. Dale died September 14, 1982. Shirley continued to live on the farm. She was united in marriage with Orville Saue in October of 1984 and he died August 8, 1999. She later married Ed Wollmuth on July 9, 2001. Ed died April 9, 2005. Shirley was baptized on June 9, 2002. She lived at Valhalla Apartments before moving into the Clarkfield Care Center in January of 2016. She was a beautiful seamstress, she enjoyed shopping and antiquing, playing cards and dominos, and bowling and dancing. She loved entertaining and she set a pretty table. Shirley did lots of cooking and baking but was known for her meatballs and gravy. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, was a Girl Scout leader, and a Methodist Youth Leader. She especially enjoyed traveling and attending the grandchildren's events. She is survived by seven children: Karen Thompson of Harrisburg, SD, Gwen (Dennis) Kvistad of Woodlake, MN, Nadine (Bruce) Albertson of Clarkfield, MN, Candy (Gordy) Albertson of Clarkfield, MN, Angie (Wayne) Viessman of Gary, SD, Greg McCoy of Appleton, MN, and Jason (Rhonda) McCoy of Grove City, MN; nine step-children: Lucy Dack of Clinton, WI, Jan (Dallas) Larson of Cannon Falls, MN, Betty (Dale) Robinson of Boyd, MN, Emmie (Rick) Callaway of Brooklyn Park, MN, Terry (Jim) Haueisen of LaGrange, TX, Julie (Kevin) Warner of Minneapolis, MN, Kevin (Wilsa) Saue of Kameuela, HI, Dean (Nancy) Wollmuth of Hot Springs, AK, and Brenda (LeRoy) Ohlson of Starbuck, MN; 41 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Geraldine Alvis of Clarkfield, MN; two sisters-in-law: Darlene Fultz of Montevideo and Helen Fultz of Corning, CA; special friends: Elena and Tim Lange, Wood Lake, MN; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands: Dale McCoy, Orville Saue, and Ed Wollmuth; two great-grandsons: Tabor Larsen and Chad Lutjens; four brothers: Gerald, Gary, Max, and Bud Fultz; and three sisters: Fern Hell, Billy Bunch, and Josephine Spilde.
