Shirley Larson, 58, of rural Boyd, Minnesota, died at her home on Thursday, July 30, 1987. Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 1, 1987, at Trinity Lutheran Church of Boyd with Pastor Jeff Swanson officiating. Music was provided by organist Minnie Hermanson and Jeff Swanson soloist. Casket Bearers were Craig Larson, Curtis Larson, Steve Nelson, Dennis Wanke, Kevin Wanke and Lynn Wiebe. Final Resting Place is Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Boyd, Minnesota. She was born in Boyd on April 27, 1929. She was baptized June 23, 1929 and confirmed June 11, 1944 in Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyd. She attended Beauty School in Watertown, South Dakota, and worked as a hairdresser in Sioux Falls, Madison, Milbank and Aberdeen, South Dakota. The last several years she has resided at the farm home near Boyd. She never married. She is survived by brothers, Edwin Larson of Boyd, Roy Larson of Eagan, Minnesota, and Roger Larson of Springfield, Virginia; and sisters Delores Nelson of Appleton, Minnesota, Betty Wanke of Milan, Minnesota, and Arlene Wanke of Willmar, Minnesota.
