Sharyl Ree
(Anderson) Ulrich
January 30, 1949 – March 21, 2026
Sharyl Ulrich, age 77, of Clarkfield, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 21, 2026, at the St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK, surrounded by family. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 11 AM at the United Methodist Church of Montevideo with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Interment will be in the Clarkfield City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mayo Clinic or the Clarkfield Area Ambulance Service.
Sharyl Ree (Anderson) Ulrich was born to Alford and Stella (Opager) Anderson on January 30, 1949, at the Clarkfield Hospital. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at the Augustana Lutheran Church of Clarkfield. She attended Clarkfield Public School and graduated in 1967. On March 30, 1968, Sharyl married Marlin Moe. Together they had a son, Darion. On December 28, 1973, Sharyl married Kenneth Ulrich at the Clarkfield United Methodist Church and together they had two children, Kristopher and Jessica. The couple resided in Clarkfield their entire married lives.
Sharyl’s working career was in the medical field. She started by working at the Clarkfield Hospital, Dr. Rifat Clinic, and ended at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital and Clinic. She was a member of the local BUNCO group from its beginning for over 50 years. Sharyl loved finding, cleaning, and selling antique and collectible items—she was a member of the Prairie Mercantile Antique Store for over 31 years. The Prairie Mercantile began in Clarkfield and later moved to Granite Falls. She also had a passion for interior decorating and design.
Sharyl took a great deal of pleasure in watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow. Her kindness, compassion, and optimism has left a lasting impression on all those she held close. She will be greatly missed and forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
Sharyl was preceded in death by her parents, Alford and Stella (Opager) Anderson, and son, Kristopher Ulrich. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Kenneth Ulrich; son, Darion (Heidi) of Jackson, MN; daughter, Jessica Hoffman (Brian) of Burnsville, MN; grandchildren, Rylie Averill (Jacob), Cejay Ulrich (Ian), Jordan, Brody, and Ryker Hoffman; great-grandchildren, Xyre and Zavia Averill.
