Severt Theodore Stokke was born October 9, 1900, in Normania Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, the son of Severt and Turi (Christopherson) Stokke. He was baptized and confirmed by Rev. Martin Romstad at the St. Lucas Lutheran Church where he was a lifelong member. Most of his life was spent in farming with his brother, Bert. He resided at Granite Falls since 1963 except for a short period of time at Renville and the past year at the Dawson Nursing Home. He passed away at the Dawson Hospital on Saturday, December 13, 1969, at the age of 69 years. He is survived by one sister, Rachel Swalstad of Renville, 12 nieces and five nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
