Selmer C. (Sam) Wilson died Thursday, May 12, 1983, at the Clarkfield Community Hospital, Clarkfield, Minnesota. He was born August 8, 1889, in Lisbon Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, the son of Hans G. and Elsie (Sorenson) Wilson. He was baptized and confirmed at the Bergen Lutheran Church. After attending the School of Agriculture in St. Paul, Minnesota, he farmed in Lisbon Township for many years. For the past three years he was a resident of the Clarkfield Care Center. Survivors include one brother, Henry Wilson of Clarkfield; one nephew, Woodrow Wilson of Clarkfield; and six nieces, Mrs. Henry (Jean) Nicklasson, Montevideo, Minnesota, Mrs. Olaf (Ina) Risa, Clarkfield, Mrs. Lyle (Avis) Monson, Elsie Halvorson and Shirley Allchin, all of Granite Falls, Minnesota and Mrs. John (Beverly) Thompson of Mahtomedi, Minnesota.
