Obituary

Selma J. Olson, 89, died July 20, 1987 at the Johnson Memorial Home in Dawson, Minnesota. Services were held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 23, 1987, from the Lynner Funeral Home Chapel of Clarkfield, Minnesota. Officiating was Pastor Gordon A. Trelstad. Casket Bearers were Arnold Gritmacker, Roy Hofmann, Hilman Korstad, Wilford T. Miller, Lloyd and Milo Olson. Final Resting Place is the Ten Mile Lake Cemetery, Ten Mile Lake Township, Lac qui Parle County, Minnesota. She was born March 30, 1898, in Ten Mile Lake Township of Lac qui Parle County. Her parents were Ole and Milla (Aarsby) Olson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Boyd, Minnesota. She lived on the family farm until she became a resident of the Clarkfield Care Center in August of 1981 until February 1987 and was transfered to the Johnson Memorial Home in Dawson until her death. She is survived by brother-in-law, Ewald Priebe of Boyd; sister-in-law, Karen Olson who resides at the Johnson Memorial Home in Dawson; nephews, Milo Olson of Dawson and Gene Olson of Coon Rapids, Minnesota; niece, Pearl (Mrs. Lloyd Olson) of Dawson; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister and one nephew. Vocal Music: Merrill P.
