Sarah Amelia (Pochardt) Pyle (April 13, 1926~December 15, 2010) Sarah Amelia Pochardt Pyle was born on April 13, 1926, at Russell, Minnesota, to parents Noah and Ida (Bohlman) Pochardt. She had three brothers: Albert, Carl and Arthur; and one sister Ida. Sarah was baptized at the family home in Russell on April 18, 1926, and confirmed on May 7, 1939. Sarah married Glenn Pyle on September 21, 1950. They were the parents of four children: Keith, Wanda, Dewey and Randy. The family lived southwest of Boyd, Minnesota, for several years. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Boyd. She then moved to Montevideo, Minnesota. She worked as a cook in restaurants for many years and in her latter years enjoyed being a greeter at Wal-Mart. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. When she was able, she enjoyed gardening and being outside. She became a resident of Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo in August of 2009, where she passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2010, at the age of 84 years, 8 months and 2 days. Sarah is survived by her children: Keith (and Becky) Pyle of Savage, Minnesota, Wanda (and Bob) Kolkman of St. Cloud, Minnesota, Dewey (and Sharon) Pyle of Montevideo and Randy Pyle of St. Cloud, Minnesota. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Noah Kolkman, Grant Kolkman, Sarah Quigley and Dexter Pyle; and one great grandchild: Maren Kolkman. She is also survived by brother Arthur (and Wilma) Pochardt; sister Ida Bendix; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: (Ole) Albert and Carl Pochardt.
