Reuben Leonard Koepp was born June 30, 1917, at Boyd, Minnesota, to parents Leo and Louise (Kelm) Koepp. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Zion Lutheran Church, Tyro Township. On November 23, 1938, he married Alma Magnolia Thorsteinson of Minneota, in Walnut Grove, Minnesota. To this union were blessed six children. Reuben passed away at his farm on Monday afternoon, August 2, 1976, at the age of 59 years. He is survived by his family, his wife Alma and children, Deanna Marie (Mrs. Alfred Jessen) of Boyd, Douglas Thorsteinson (wife Nancy) of Willmar, Kathleen Ann (Mrs. William Jahn) of Boyd, Bruce Rueben (wife Georgi) of Menlo Park, California, Gregory Allen (fiance Sandy Lettau), and Todd Leo, both of Boyd; five grandchildren: Scott, Mark and Neil Jessen and Darcy and Stacy Koepp; sister Alice (Mrs. Dale Jorgenson) of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; and several other relatives. Preceding him in death were his parents and also his sister, Lenora. Besides his family he leaves many relatives and friends.
