Obituary

Rudolph Bernard Gullickson was born in Sandes Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, to his parents, Sam and Johanna (Simonson) Gullickson on June 13, 1920. He was baptized and confirmed at the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church of Hanley Falls, Minnesota, and attended school in Hanley Falls where he graduated. Rudolph served his country during W.W.II in the U.S. Army Air Force and following his honorable discharge returned home to the Hanley Falls area where he was engaged in farming. Rudolph had recently become a resident of the Clarkfield Care Center and on Monday, January 28, 1991, Rudolph, 70, passed away at the Granite Falls Hospital in Granite Falls, Minnesota. Surviving Rudolph are his brother, Richard Gullickson and wife, Lorraine of Hanley Falls; two sisters, Mrs. Virginia Flejzor of Hanley Falls and Mrs. Edith Jorgenson of Clarkfield; three sister-in-laws, Mrs. Gladys Gullickson of Scottsdale, Arizona, Mrs. Bernice Gullickson of Gary, South Dakota, and Mrs. Mildred Gullickson of Hanley Falls; and 15 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Harold, Sanford, and Kermit; and two sisters, Marguerite Vang and Norma Mittelstadt. Rudolph was a member of the Hanley Falls American Legion, the V.F.W. of Granite Falls, the Farmers Union, and the Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church of Hanley Falls.
