Ruby LaVonne Doose was born March 8, 1932, to Richard and Helen (Knutson) Agre at Rural Boyd, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Boyd where she was a lifelong member. She attended and graduated from Boyd Public School. Ruby married Charles Doose on March 24, 1952. She was a member of the American Legion and V.F.W. Auxilaries. Ruby passed away at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital on Monday, March 25, 1991, at the age of 59. Surviving Ruby are her husband, Charles of Boyd; five children, Daniel of Brandon, South Dakota, Charlene Dixon of Shell Lake, Wisconsin, Teresa (Mrs. Arlyn Shelstad) of Montevideo, Minnesota, Donald of the U.S. Air Force in Belgium and Darwin of Buffalo, Minnesota; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard and her mother, Helen.
