In Loving Memory of ROY VIEN Roy Alvin Vien was born December 13, 1902, to Martinus and Eline (Jolstad) Vien of Normania Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at St. Lucas Lutheran Church. He married Minnie Leroen on March 19, 1925. They had two children, Dennis of Cottonwood and Elene, Mrs. Glenn Hegna, of Bird Island, Minnesota. They farmed until March 19, 1969, at which time they retired and moved to Cottonwood. He passed away January 4, 1977, at Mesa Lutheran Hospital, Mesa, Arizona, at the age of 74. He is survived by his wife and children; son-in-law, Glenn Hegna; and six grandchildren: Doreen, married to Dave DeVos of Mitchell, South Dakota, David, Danette, Carrie, Susan and Timothy. He has one brother, Andrew, of Clarkfield. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
