Roy G. Meyer was born May 24, 1904, in Vallers Township, Lyon County, Minnesota, to Rudy and Louretta (Gifford) Meyer. On May 8, 1924, he was united in marriage to Rosan Linnora Thompson. He farmed for a number of years and worked as a mechanic up until the time of his illness. Mr. Meyer passed away July 25, 1958, after a lingering illness at his home in Westerheim Township, Lyon County, Minnesota, at the age of 54 years. He is survived by his wife and four brothers, namely, Louis of St. Paul, Lloyd of Bisbee, North Dakota, Earl of Sacred Heart, Minnesota, George of Russell, Minnesota; his step-mother, Mrs. Inga Meyer of Roseau, Minnesota; three step-sisters: Ruby (Mrs. Stanton Budd) of Roseau, Minnesota, Elizabeth (Mrs. Louis Brennard) of Fargo, North Dakota, Edith (Mrs. Leverne Larson) of Norwalk, California; one step-brother, John of Roseau, Minnesota; three aunts and two uncles: Paul and Ulrich of Cottonwood, Minnesota, Mrs. H.F. Maronde and Mrs. Pete Paradis of Marshall, Minnesota, and Mrs. Earl Gilmore, of Rosseau, Minnesoata. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and one brother, Rudolf. Blessed be his memory.
