Rose (Wolle) Edmunds was born August 27, 1873, at Peotone, Illinois, the daughter of Chris and Catherine (Schnell) Wolle. At the age of 12 the family moved to Terrill, Iowa. On May 5, 1897, she was united in marriage to Allen Vinton Edmunds and resided at Terrill until 1902. In that year the young couple moved to their farm home one and one-half miles east of Boyd, Minnesota, where they farmed until 1912, later moving to Clarkfield, Minnesota, where she resided for the remainder of her life. Mrs. Edmunds passed away January 17, 1953, at her Clarkfield home, at the age of 79 years. Surviving Mrs. Edmunds are one daughter and four sons, namely: Lillian (Mrs. E.H. Metag) of Mankato, Minnesota, Howard Edmunds of Minneapolis, Stephen Edmunds of Hazel Run, Minnesota, James Edmunds of North Bend, Washington, and Harry Edmunds of Clarkfield. Thirteen grandchildren also survive: Mrs. Robert Wellman of Duluth, Minnesota, Mary Jean Metag of St. James, Minnesota, Mrs. Roger Nelson of Morton, Minnesota, Kenneth and Shirley Edmunds of Minneapolis, Keith, Ronald and Robert Edmunds of Hazel Run, Ruth, Susan, Jeanne and Stephen of North Bend, Washington, and Mary Louise Edmunds of Clarkfield. She also leaves to mourn one sister, Mrs. Henry Eder of Sebeka, Minnesota.
