Rosadelle Lorraine Quenemoen was born November 28, 1922, in Madison. One of five children born to Alma and Hjalmer Quenemoen, she grew up in rural Montevideo and graduated from high school there. She married Kalmer Skaalen of Boyd on August 24, 1941. They operated a Red & White Grocery in Boyd until 1959, when the family moved to Trimont, where her husband worked for and later bought the Triumph State Bank. She was active with First Lutheran Church and the Triumph Garden Club. After retirement in 1981, she and her husband spent summers at their cabin on Lake Miltona. They moved from Trimont to Minnetonka in 1990. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Edina. Rose passed away at her home in Minnetonka on Saturday, May 3, 1997 at the age of 74 years, 5 months, and 6 days. She is survived by her husband Kalmer; three children, Jon, St. Paul; Janet, Minneapolis; and Mary (Douglas) Moen, Minneapolis; two grandchildren, Justin and Taylor Moen; one sister, Dolores (Orton) Haugen, Montevideo; three brothers, Harvey (Nettie) Quenemoen, Boyd; Russell (Hazel) Quenemoen, Montevideo; and Hjalmer (Helen) Quenemoen, Alexandria; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
