Ronald Adolph Kopitzke was born February 15, 1946, in Omro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, to parents Adolph and Elizabeth (Puchalski) Kopitzke. He was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church of Omro Township. Ronnie attended Country School District #44 and Dawson Public Schools. Ronnie was united in marriage to Bonita "Bonnie" Hartfiel at Trinity Lutheran Church in Boyd, Minnesota, on August 15, 1970. They were the parents of two sons: Mark and Michael. Ronnie farmed most of his working years. He enjoyed working on his favorite car - "The 60 Chev" and driving the Super H and M Farmall. He enjoyed his grandsons, Trent and Tanner, very much. He was a (past) member of the Watson Fire Department, Hazel Run Legion, and the Tyro Township Board. Ronnie passed away on Friday evening, January 7, 2005, at the Wabasso Health Care Center, Wabasso, Minnesota, at the age of 58 years, 10 months and 23 days. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie of Clarkfield, Minnesota; sons Mark (and Mandy) of Clarkfield, Minnesota, and Michael of Osakis, Minnesota. He is also survived by two grandsons, Trent and Tanner; sisters Doris Bruhn, Sylvia (and Walter) Lehmann and Alyce (and Vernon) Nelson; and sister-in-law Donna Hartfiel. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Bud Kopitzke; sister-in-law Lit Kopitzke; two nephews, Gary Dean Lehmann and Greg Bruhn; one brother-in-law; and mother and father-in-law.
