Roger Arthur Loose was born March 9, 1935, at the home in Tyro Township of Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, where he was also baptized by Rev. Poehler of Wood Lake on March 27, 1935. He was confirmed by Rev. Rehwaldt of Granite Falls, May 29, 1949. He was graduated from Boyd High School and then went on to Mankato State and the University of Minnesota. He entered the armed services in January, 1960. He took his basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri and then graduated from Military Police School at Ft. Gordon, Georgia. From there he served in Berlin, Germany during the Berlin crisis. Roger passed away at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota, on Thursday, June 6, 1968, at the age of 33 years. He suffered from a sun stroke while at work for the Gopher Lumber Company at St. Cloud. He is survived by his parents, Art and Josie Cecelia (Willander) Loose of Montevideo; and a sister, Shirley, a member of the faculty at Luverne. IN MEMORY OF ROGER A.
