He lived in numerous communities including Riverside, California, Edmonton, Alberta, Langdon, North Dakota, and Canby, Minnesota. He married Margaret Elaine Lynner on June 19, 1948. Robert had a diverse range of interests and passions. He loved anything related to transportation. It began with trains and progressed to planes, boats, trucks and taking fishing trips to Canada in his RV. He was a generous person with an array of mechanical talents, who would take the time to fix anything whenever someone asked him for his help. Robert, beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2006, at Northfield Hospital, Northfield, Minnesota, with his family at his side.
