Obituary

Robert Harold Anderson was born in Minneapolis on June 13, 1916, to parents Andrew and Christine (Hanson) Anderson. He grew to manhood in the Maynard, Minnesota area, and was confirmed in the Maynard Church. After serving in the U.S. Army during World War II, he worked in St. Paul, where he married Joan Stenson of Boyd, Minnesota, on November 23, 1955. He was a member of the American Legion and served as commander in both Boyd and Dawson. He retired as a truck driver for Western Co-op of Montevideo, Minnesota, in 1978, due to his health. Mr. Anderson passed away on November 3, 1980, at the Madison Hospital, Madison, Minnesota, at the age of 64 years. Survivors include his wife, Joan; two sons: Ronald of Minneapolis, and Alan of Granite Falls, Minnesota; a daughter, Renae of Willmar, Minnesota; a sister-in-law, Irene Anderson of Benson, Minnesota, and her children: Darrell of Montevideo and Elaine (Mrs. John Saterbak) of Benson, Minnesota; and several cousins.
