Richard Dewey Heald January 5, 1936 ~ May 30, 2014 Richard Dewey Heald was born January 5, 1936, in Browns Valley, Minnesota, to parents Dewey and Beatrice (Sykora) Heald. He was baptized in February 1936 and confirmed in May 1948. Richard graduated from the Morris Ag. School in 1953. He was in the trucking business as an owner/operator for most of his life. He was a member of the Augustana Lutheran Church, where he served on the church council and was a leader in the Luther League for several years. Richard was also a cub scout leader for several years. He was united in marriage to Shirley Babb on June 30, 1954, at the Wilmot Lutheran Church in Wilmot, South Dakota. Richard and Shirley were blessed with three sons: Glenn, David and Vernon. Richard passed away on Friday, May 30, 2014, at the Clarkfield Care Center at the age of 78 years and 4 months, with his family at his side. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; his children: David (Sharon) of Muchison, Texas, and Vernon (Lois) of Minneota, Minnesota, and daughter-in-law, Paulette Heald of Clarkfield, Minnesota. He is also survived by sisters-in-law: Colletta Heald of Atlanta, Georgia, and Tina Heald of McDonough, Georgia; 10 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Glenn Heald; brothers: Lee and Wayne Heald and daughter-in-law, Marilyn Heald.
