Obituary

Mrs. Ole (Rebecca) Dotseth, 97, died Wednesday, October 8, 1986, at the North Ridge Care Center in New Hope, Minnesota. Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m., October 11, 1986 at the Spring Creek Cemetery in rural Clarkfield, Minnesota. There also was a short service at the Lynner Funeral Home with Pastor Lehner officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Dotseth's granddaughters. She was born March 13, 1889, in Normania Township, Yellow Medicine County. She was the last of the 12 children born to Ole and Ingeborg (Pederson) Oraas. She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith in Spring Creek Church, which was founded by her parents and other Normania pioneers. Rebecca and Ole were the parents of nine children. She is survived by sons Clayton, Stanley and Arden of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Verne of Kettle River, Minnesota; daughter Ruby (Mrs. Gerald) Fischer of Minneapolis, Minnesota; grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1938, her parents, sons Curtis, Richard and Norman (killed in action on Luzon Island, 1945) and daughter Pearl (Mrs. Dan) Korr.
