Raymond W. Love was born November 15, 1894, to Joseph and Verona (Amsley) Love at Wayne, Nebraska. As a small boy he moved with his folks to Sioux City, Iowa, where he attended school. In 1915, he moved with his parents and sister to Clarkfield where they purchased a farm west of town and where Ray was engaged in farming with his parents. In 1918, he married Annette Iverson of Clarkfield and to this union two sons and three daughters were born, all of whom survive. Mr. and Mrs. Love and son, Donald, moved to their home in Clarkfield in 1919 and he was employed for many years at the Bergren Ford Company. Later, he spent many years employed at the Farmers Elevator and the last few years at the ASC office. Ray passed away suddenly December 11, 1959, while on a trip to Minneapolis, at the age of 65 years. He is survived by his children, Donald and Raymond Love, Jr., of Faribault, Minnesota, Beverly (Mrs. John Green), JoAnn (Mrs. Tom Osking) and Florence (Mrs. Orion Hegre) all of Minneapolis; one sister, Florence Koelfgen, of St. Paul, Minnesota; and 14 grandchildren. His parents preceded him in death. Ray was a member of the famous baseball team Clarkfield had in the early '20s and greatly enjoyed sports of all kinds. He was of a quiet disposition and will be greatly missed by his family, relatives and friends. IN MEMORY OF RAYMOND W.
