Raymond Peter Larson, 86, passed away on Friday, March 23, 1990, at the Clarkfield Care Center, Clarkfield, Minnesota. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 1990, from the Spring Creek Lutheran Church of Normania Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, with Pastor Robert Lehner officiating. Organist was Mrs. Robert Lehner with solo music by David Rupp. Serving as pallbearers were Dennis Enevoldsen, LeRoy Jacobson, Earl Johnson, Albie Meiers, Leo Olson and Sherman Winson. Burial was in the Spring Creek Lutheran Church Cemetery, Normania Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. Raymond Peter Larson was born on July 31, 1903, in Friendship Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, the son of Hans P. and Helga (Haugen) Larson. He was baptized September 20, 1903, and confirmed June 30, 1918, both at Spring Creek Lutheran Church of Normania Township, rural Clarkfield. Raymond attended rural school and farmed with his brother, Gerhard. On March 3, 1928, at Pastor Lee's parsonage he was united in marriage to Ella Winson. They lived on their farm in Lisbon Township, Yellow Medicine County. Raymond also kept occupied as a carpenter and in construction work. He enjoyed hunting and he helped many families in their old time form of farm butchering. He is survived by his wife, Ella of Clarkfield; his son, Archie and daughter-in-law, Mavis of Waconia, Minnesota; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; sister, Mabel Danielson of Dawson, Minnesota; and brother-in-law, Bennie Gunderson of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Preceding Raymond in death were his parents; three sisters, Minnie Larson, Hannah Gunderson and Emma Jacobson; and two brothers, Alfred and Gerhard Larson.
