Raymond John Homan was born July 16, 1915, at St. Leo, Minnesota, to parents Nick and Ann Schmitt Homan. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Leo Catholic Church and attended school in St. Leo through the 8th grade. Ray married Justina Grengs on October 3, 1939, at the St. Leo Catholic Church. They were the parents of two sons: Stanley and David. The Homans farmed their entire life, retiring and moving to Clarkfield, Minnesota, in the mid-1980's. Ray belonged to the St. Leo Catholic Church, St. Isidores Catholic Church in Clarkfield and was now a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Montevideo, Minnesota. He would usher in church and was a Gift Carrier. In his spare time he would like to play cards and visit. Ray entered the Clarkfield Care Center in January of 2004 and passed away there on Thursday, February 20, 2004, at the age of 88 years, 7 months, and 3 days. He is survived by his wife Justina of Clarkfield and his family: son Stanley (and Sharon) Homan and son David (and Rosemary) Homan. He is also survived by five grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters. Blessed be his memory.
