Obituary

Mrs. Randy Anderson Forthun Steffenson was born December 9, 1873, south of Albert Lea, Minnesota, the daughter of Johanes Anderson and Margret Oren Anderson. When she was three years of age, she moved with her parents to Frost, Minnesota, where she lived until her marriage June 15, 1896, to George Steffenson. They moved to a farm near Blue Earth, Minnesota, where they lived for three years. In October 1899, they prchased a farm in Swede Prairie Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, where she made her home ever since. She was the last charter member of Israel's congregation. It was one of her greatest comforts to go to church, and to attend the Aid. She attended the last service and also the last ladies aid. Mrs. Steffenson passed away Monday afternoon, January 15, 1951, at 4:15 o'clock at her home in Swede Prairie Township. She had suffered a paralytic stroke January 12th, and did not regain consciousness. She had attained the age of 77 years, 1 month and 6 days.
