Mr. Randal Andrew Rickard was born October 11, 1905, to Sherman and Floy (Tucker) Rickard on a farm in Waldron, Hillsdale County, Michigan. He was the eldest of five boys in the family of ten children. On August 16, 1930, he married Marguerite Purdy in Winfield, Kansas. The family moved to Denver, Colorado, where they lived for thirteen years. In 1951 the family moved to Houston, Texas, where they lived for five years, and only about two months ago moved to the Chris Cole farm south of Hanley Falls, Minnesota. Mr. Rickard passed away suddenly, Monday morning, July 23, 1956, at his farm home near Hanley Falls, at the age of 50 years. He is survived by his mother, his wife, and four children, namely, Mrs. Reed Lovsness, Bonnie Lou, Joyce Elaine and son, Randal, Jr.; son-in-law, Reed Lovsness; eight brothers and sisters as follows: Mrs. Gladys Myers of Stryker, Ohio, Rhue Rickard of Pottsdam, New York, Mrs. Irene Wheeler and Paul Rickard of Indianapollis, Indiana, Clinton and Lee Rickard of Pioneer, Ohio, Imogene Barnhardt and Mary Ann Newconb of Bryan, Ohio.
