Ralph Edwin Pratt was born July 31, 1908, in The Dalles, Oregon to Edwin and Christine (Waltz) Pratt. He departed to be with Jesus on June 18, 1981, at the Dawson Memorial Hospital, Dawson, Minnesota, after many years of illness, at the age of 72. On October 14, 1931, he was united in marriage to Esther Florence Klyberg at Watertown, South Dakota. They purchased a farm near Clarkfield, Minnesota, in 1953. He was a carpenter by trade and worked primarily as an elevator repairman. After a disability retirement he had a hobby and business in his home doing saw sharpening service. It was on May 24, 1940, that Ralph was born again and since then has lived a most sincere dedicated Christian life and serving as a deacon on the church board for many years. Survivors include his wife Esther; two sons, Richard of North Mankato, Minnesota, and Wayne of Breckenridge, Minnesota; a daughter Mary of Rochester, Minnesota; daughters-in-law, Virginia and Lois; a son-in-law, Gerold Henry; eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild, Joshua Pratt; three brothers, Albert, Charles and Oliver; two sisters, Nettie and Lottie; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Ulyses.
