Ralph Ludwig Ness was born of parents Karen and Peter Ness on April 21, 1892, in Stony Run Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed in the Bergen Lutheran Church and remained a member there until his death. On November 7, 1923, he was united in marriage to Emma Iverson. This union was blessed with two sons, Kermit and Ardine. Mr. Ness passed away Friday, July 27, 1951, while working with his son, Ardine, in Montevideo, Minnesota. He was 59 years of age. Survivors include his wife, Emma; two sons: Ardine and Kermit; daughters-in-law: Margaret Gehant Ness and Marion Fossen Ness; two sisters: Anna and Emelia; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of other friends.
