Rachel A. Sturgeon was born July 25, 1889, at Lincoln, Illinois, to George and Francis (Smith) Ogilvie. She was married to John Sturgeon on October 12, 1911. Two years later they moved to Montevideo, Minnesota, where they farmed until 1941. They then moved to the Clarkfield, Minnesota area. She is survived by three children: Woodrow of Robbinsdale, Minnesota, Ruth, Mrs. Curtis Lynner, of Clarkfield, Johnie of Willmar, Minnesota; 16 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one sister, Mrs. Icy Briggs of Lincoln, Illinois; one son-in-law; three daughters-in-law; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John and son Myron, two brothers and six sisters. Deep in the heart a memory is left, Of one we loved and never will forget. Blessed be her memory.
