Obituary

Quinton Coover was born August 18, 1918, at Lake Andes, South Dakota, to Machael and Hannah (Nelson) Coover. He moved with his family to the home farm in Swede Prairie Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, in 1937 where he has resided as a full time farmer until his death on January 10, 1979. Baptized and confirmed at Swede Home Lutheran Church by Pastor Anderson, Quinton married Pearl Johnson in 1946. This union was blessed with the birth of three sons: Larry, DeWayne and Curtis. Surviving are his wife, Pearl; three sons: Larry (and Nancy) of Niantic, Connecticut, DeWayne (and JoAnn) of Clarkfield, Minnesota, and Curtis (and Mary) of Brookings, South Dakota; three grandchildren; four sisters: Irene (Mrs. Merton Young) of Marshall, Minnesota, Gladys (Mrs. J.A. Josefson) of Minneota, Minnesota, Mrs. Harriet Thostenson of Breckenridge, Minnesota, and Mrs. Iona Peterson of Clarkfield, Minnesota; one uncle, Otto Friberg of Minneapolis; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ruth.
