IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Phyllis Elaine
(Berg) Waller
April 23, 1933 – October 25, 2011
Phyllis Elaine (Berg) Waller (April 23, 1933~October 25, 2011) Phyllis Elaine Berg was born to Arne and Edith (Larson) Berg at her home in Friendship Township on April 23rd, 1933. She was baptized and confirmed at Israel Lutheran Church, rural Clarkfield, Minnesota. She attended country school and later went to the Clarkfield School thru 10th grade. Phyllis married Oscar Waller on June 2, 1951, at Israel Lutheran Church. She was a homemaker and worked as a waitress for many years. She so loved her time with people and her years as a homemaker filled her with such joy. She loved baking and cooking and spent hours reading her cookbooks for the family which has been added to over the years and will be treasured forever. Food was so important and she always made special dishes for special people. Green was her favorite color and her ability to grow and nourish plants reflected her all over character. She really enjoyed her time spent auctioning and "junking" and got excited over all of the good stuff she found for herself as well as others. She was so thankful that her birthday was in April and diamonds were the birthstone! Her rings, big earrings and accessories for herself, as well as her home, certainly reflected who she was. She will be remembered for her hospitality, sense of humor and thoughtfulness. Phyllis left us to carry on these special traits on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at the age of 78 years old. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Oscar Waller; son Tommy; daughters: Peggy Kouri, Robyn (Tom) Rolighed and Becky (Brad) VanBinsbergen. She was the proud grandma of 10 grandchildren: Heather, Jared, Brandon, Amber, Corey, Pat, Kristin, Brock, Brittiny and Brielle. Her real pride and joy was being great grandma to 16. She is also survived by brothers: Arden (Violet) Berg and Dale (Marlene) Berg; in-laws: Janus (Betty), Charles (Lois) and Dwain (Betty) Waller. She is also survived by many special nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arne and Edith Berg; mother and father-in-law, Oscar and Ida Waller; and her brother Earl Berg. Blessed be her memory. In Loving Memory of Phyllis E.
