Obituary

Philip A. Elmquist was born November 13, 1915, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to parents Charles and Cecelia (Johnson) Elmquist. His family included three boys and one girl. Philip grew up in the Minneapolis area. He was a Surveyor for Hennepin County for many years. He also served as President of the Minnesota Land Surveyors Association. Phil and Lucille M. Rogge were united in marriage on July 1, 1969. They lived in Minneapolis until two years ago, when they relocated in Montevideo, Minnesota. He enjoyed golfing and bowling and spending time with his wife. Philip passed away at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital on Friday, April 20, 2001, at the age of 85 years, 5 months, and 7 days. He is survived by his wife Lucille, of Copper Glen in Montevideo; brother and sister-in -law, Wayne and Marion Rogge of Montevideo; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister. Blessed be his memory.
