Peter H. Rodness was born July 23, 1894, in Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, to the parents Hans and Anna Marie Rodness. Hans Rodness was one of the pioneer farmers in Yellow Medicine County. Peter was baptized in the Lutheran faith and confirmed by Rev. O.T. Storaasli in the Clarkfield Lutheran Church and continued his membership there until his death. He spent most of his life on the farm and continued to farm after the death of his father. He moved into Clarkfield with his sister, Mabel, about ten years ago and lived there until his death. He was admitted to the Clarkfield Community Hospital and passed away there on July 2, 1970, at the age of 75 years. He had been failing in health for the past three years. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Anton and Martin; and three sisters: Mabel, Helma and Sarah. He is survived by two sisters: Nettie G. Raycraft of Clearlake Highlands, California, and Lina (Mrs. Carl Fransen) of Minneapolis; and a host of relatives and friends. IN MEMORY OF PETER H.
