Peter Lowell Isaacs was born on a farm near Hazel Run, Minnesota, on August 17, 1934, of the parents, Murl and Evalyn (Dotseth) Isaacs. He was baptized into the Lutheran faith by Rev. A.H. Haugland and received his confirmation instruction from Rev. A.N. Olson. He attended elementary school in Hazel Run and graduated from Clarkfield High School in 1953. He served two years in the U.S. Army and was discharged in December of 1955. He graduated from St. Olaf College in 1960. He was united in marriage to Carol Licht from Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, in 1960. Two children, Peter and Lissa, were born to this union. His teaching career began in Ellendale, Minnesota, where he taught three years. One year was spent teaching and coaching at Alexander Ramsey High School. He spent two summer sessions in Ohio and Oklahoma studying under the National Science Foundation grants. In 1964, he began teaching mathematics and coaching football, basketball and baseball at Kellogg High School in Roseville, Minnesota. He was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Roseville. On April 18, 1970, he passed away at St. John's Hospital in St. Paul, at the age of 35 years. He is survived by his wife, Carol; his children, Peter and Lissa; his parents; three brothers and three sisters: Elwood of Hackettstown, New Jersey, Elaine (Mrs. Gaylen Cornelius) and Joanne (Mrs. Arvid Melbostad), both of Clarkfield, Sharon (Mrs. Robert Fischer) of Manchester, Iowa, Dean of Portland, Oregon, and Dale in the U.S. Army at Ft. Rucker, Alabama; parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Licht, Jim and Nancy Licht, grandmother, Susie Dotseth, beside a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. In Memory of Peter L.
