Peter Alan Benson died tragically and unexpectedly in a car accident at Waseca, Minnesota, on Monday, April 12, 2004, at the age of 23 years and 11 months. Peter was born on May 12, 1980, to Robert Wesley Benson and Charlette Ann (Heimark) Benson. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Lucas Lutheran Church. Peter graduated from Montevideo High School, Montevideo, Minnesota, in 1998 and spent a year in Duluth, Minnesota, attending Lake Superior College. Peter moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, and attended Normandale Community College. He recently co-founded an Upholstery Business with a good friend. Peter is survived by his parents; brother Christopher Benson of Mounds View, Minnesota; grandmothers Dorothea Heimark and Florence Benson; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Charles Heimark, Sr. and Fred Benson. Peter was a kind and gentle man who lived a life of honesty and integrity. His interests were evident in the countless hours he spent at family gatherings and get-togethers with his friends. Heaven is richer for his presence.
