IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Larson
May 25, 1898 – November 10, 1951
Peder Melancthon Larson was born May 25, 1898, the son of Charl and Mary (Rodness) Larson, on a farm in Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. He was baptized into the Lutheran faith by Rev. O.C. Farseth and confirmed by Rev. O.T. Storaasli in the Clarkfield Norwegian Lutheran Church. He attended schools in Tyro Township, where he grew to manhood. On October 11, 1923, he was united in marriage to Miss Mabel Grinager, also of Clarkfield, taking up residence on a farm in Lisbon Township. A year later he and Mrs. Larson moved to the farm in Lisbon which they occupied until his death. During his entire life he was an active worker in all community affairs, especially church work, but he also took part in Red Cross drives and other civic enterprises. For 21 years he faithfully filled the office of school clerk in District 77, and also did his part in several farm organizations. Mr. Larson passed away suddenly Saturday, November 10, 1951, at his Lisbon Township home, at the age of 53 years.
