Obituary

Paulina Louise Koepp was born on May 16, 1888, at Colby, Wisconsin, the daughter of William Kesting and Mary (Bubsen) Kesting. In her infancy she was brought by her parents to be baptized in the Lutheran church. When still a little girl she moved with her parents to Morton, Minnnesota, and after a brief time in 1892 to Boyd, Minnesota. Here she received her education and formal instruction in the Word of God and on March 24, 1904, was confirmed in the Lutheran faith by Rev. August Hilger in St. John's Lutheran Church, Omro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. She was and remained until now a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church. On November 24, 1910, she was united in marriage to Mr. Herman J. Koepp. This union was blessed with two sons, Erhardt and Herbert. Mrs. Koepp lived with her husband on a farm in Omro Township until the day of retirement in 1947 when they took up residence in the village of Boyd, Minnesota, where she lived until the day of her departure. Mrs. Koepp passed away August 14, 1959, at the Clarkfield Community Hospital, at the age of 71 years. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Herman J.; her two sons, Erhardt of Minneota, Minnesota, and Herbert of Boyd, Minnesota; two daughters-in-law; six grandchildren; three brothers: Dr. Herman Kesting of St. Paul, Minnesota, Henry Kesting of Bellingham, Minnesota, and Edmund Kesting of Rockford, Illinois; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Quenemoen of Madison, Minnesota, and Mrs. Mathilda Nyborg of Columbia Heights, Minnesota; and a host of other near relatives and friends.
