Paul Glenn Oakland was born December 21, 1955, at Clarkfield to parents Juell and Gladys (Knutson) Oakland. He was baptized in the Swede Home Lutheran Church on January 15, 1956, by Pastor Vernel A. Lundeen. He was confirmed at Augustana Lutheran Church on May 17, 1970, by Rev. Albert H. Hendrickson. He lived his entire life in the Clarkfield community. He attended the Clarkfield Public School where he would have been a junior this fall. He participated in all sports. He held the rank of first class scout and was a member of the Order of the Arrow. Paul passed away at the Clarkfield Community Hospital on October 19, 1971, after a lingering illness at the age of 15 years. He leaves to mourn his passing his parents; his sister, Jean; several uncles, aunts and cousins and a host of friends. Paul was a patient and loving child and was well liked by everyone who knew him.
