They farmed west of Clarkfield, Minnesota, for seven years and in 1964 they moved to her homeplace northeast of Boyd and continued to farm until retiring in 1975. She was a member of Boyd Senior Citizens and The Sons of Norway. In July of 1993, she moved to the Madison Lutheran Home, Madison, Minnesota, and remained there until her death on Monday, January 22, 2001, at the age of 89 years, 1 month, and 6 days.
