Owen Donald Dotseth, 73, passed away at his farm home, Friendship Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, on Tuesday, November 14, 1989. Memorial Services for Owen Dotseth will be held at the Lynner Funeral Home Chapel, Clarkfield, Minnesota, at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, November 16, 1989. Music will be provided by Sylvia Nash. Pallbearers are his sons and family members. Private burial will be held prior to the Memorial Service at the Clarkfield City Cemetery, Clarkfield, Minnesota. Owen Donald Dotseth was born January 23, 1916, to Oscar and Susie Dotseth in Friendship Township near Clarkfield. He grew up in Yellow Medicine County and graduated from Clarkfield High School in 1935. He was married April 26, 1941, to Selma Tollefson at the Vinje Lutheran Church of Willmar, Minnesota. He farmed in the Clarkfield area for over 50 years; the last 40 years on his own farm southwest of Clarkfield. Owen served as a member of the Clarkfield Farmers Elevator Board. He had a love for farming and a love of the Lord whom he served in whatever capacity and opportunity he had. He will be missed by his community and his family. He is survived by his wife, Selma; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sylvia and Tom Nash of Walnut, California, and Maxine and Steve Levy of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; son, Paul of Los Angeles, California; sons and daughters-in-law, James and Wanda of Eagan, Minnesota, and Charles and Alison of Jordan, Minnesota; 16 grandchildren; one brother, Oscar Dotseth, Jr. (Bud) of Champlain, Minnesota; and four sisters, Evalyn Isaacs of Hazel Run, Minnesota, Esther Barret of Marshall, Minnesota, Carol Taylor of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Wanda Remmen of Minnetonka, Minnesota. Owen was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Raymond and Nuel; sister, Irma Lamkin; and a grandchild, Caleb Dotseth.
