Otto Thorsteinson, son of Magnus and Olgart (Carlson) Thorsteinson was born on August 27, 1921, at Minneota, Minnesota. He was baptized October 2, 1921, by Rev. G. Guttormsson and confirmed May 31, 1936, by Rev. O.P. Stensland at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneota. He served four years in the armed forces during World War II as a medical technician from 1941 to 1945. On May 9, 1948, he was united in marriage to Inez Anderson of Boyd, Minnesota, by Rev. Martin Lien. This union was blessed with one son, Michael. Otto made his home in the Boyd community the past twenty years where he was engaged in farming. He suffered a diabetic stroke on November 11, 1964, from which he never fully recovered. He became ill with pneumonia on April 19, 1966, and entered the Clarkfield Community Hospital where he passed away Thursday morning, April 21, 1966. He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife, Inez; son, Michael; mother, Mrs. Olga Thorsteinson of Minneota; two sisters: Alma (Mrs. Rueben Koepp) of Boyd, and Lillian (Mrs. Fred Bot) of Ivanhoe, Minnesota; and a host of nieces and nephews.
