Mrs. Ottilie Wilhelmine Wiegers was the daughter of Rudolph Bittler and his wife, Maria (Behrmann) Bittler. She was born on December 17, 1881, in Faribault County, Emerald Township, Blue Earth, Minnesota. She was baptized on March 12, 1882, by Rev. C.F. Shutz of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Emerald Township. She was confirmed on April 2, 1898, by Pastor Hillger of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Tyro Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. On December 6, 1900, she was united in holy wedlock with Benny Wiegers of Boyd, Minnesota, the service being performed by Pastor Fritz of St. John's Lutheran Church, Omro Township. Mrs. Weigers passed away on June 20, 1969, at 11:45 p.m., at the Clarkfield Community Hospital, at the age of 87 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benny, who passed away on May 26, 1926, her parents, two brothers and five sisters. She is survived by ten sons and daughters: Anna (Mrs. Helmer Hveem) of Boyd, Emma (Mrs. Leonard Weise) of Cottonwood, Lilly (Mrs. Roy Lindblad) of Dawson, Mr. Bennie Wiegers of Inglewood, California, Elsa (Mrs. Carl Witt) of New Ulm, Minnesota, Mr. Wilhelm Wiegers of Hawthorne, California, Emily (Mrs. Arthur Riediger) of Canby, Minnesota, Mr. Adolph Wiegers of El Segundo, California, Mr. Karl Wiegers and Mr. Arnold Wiegers of Boyd. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Emma Warner of Boyd; two sisters- in-law; and a host of nieces and nephews. IN MEMORY OF MRS.
