Oscar Theodore Tunem was born February 20, 1895, in Minnesota, to Daniel and Dorothy (Anda) Tunem. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith and confirmed in the Clarkfield Lutheran Church. He lived with his mother at Wanke, Minnesota, until her death then moved to Wegdahl, Minnesota, to live with an aunt. After her death, he then moved to the Cottonwood-Minneota area working on farms for several years. Oscar moved to Clarkfield where he took up watch and TV repair until his retirement. He was taken to the Clarkfield Hospital, where he passed away June 26, 1979, at the age of 84 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Edith Olson of Port Angeles, Washington, and one niece of Alaska. Blessed be his memory.
