A rare person was this one who lived amongst his own, He always found a deep desire to take care of things at home. But more than that, he reached so far into the homes where people live, To give to them the gift of warmth so friends could in the cold survive. He knew his way around in life and for fixing he could not be beat, A dinner put together by his skill was more than just a serving of meat. The seed that was sown by his hand had just the right touch of care, For the soil that was rightly prepared by a loving God would bring food there. He could talk with anyone of fishing no few fish stories could he share, He could curl your hair with his experience and knew how he could escape every snare. His heart was in the needs of people a servant of God who gave in all weather, So few of his kind of the Swedes found a "thank you" from the heart all that mattered. So now he's gone on for his final reward his days of fixing are done, And we linger yet knowing full well That the Great Fixer has called him home.
