Oscar Lukken, a lifetime resident of the Boyd, Minnesota community, passed away at the Clarkfield Community Hospital, Clarkfield, Minnesota, on Wednesday, May 10, 1967, at the age of 83 years. He was born in Ten Mile Lake Township, Lac qui Parle County, Minnesota, the son of Hans and Johanna (Graffer) Lukken, March 12, 1884. He was baptized and confirmed in the Trinity Lutheran Church of Boyd, of which he was a lifetime member. On December 5, 1911, Oscar was united in marriage to Mattie Johnson of Hanley Falls, Minnesota. He was engaged in farming until he moved to Boyd in the fall of 1964. Surviving are his widow, Mattie; a daughter, Gladys (Mrs. O.A. Mork) of Clarkfield; a son, Donald, of Hazel Run, Minnesota; three grandchildren: Marlene (Mrs. Robert Campbell) of Madison, Wisconsin, Barbara and David Lukken of Hazel Run; a great grandson, John Campbell, of Madison, Wisconsin; a sister, Mrs. Clara Vesta of Malta, Illinois; two brothers, Albin and Henry, both of Boyd; and several nieces and nephews.
