Oscar William Lindquist was born on October 20, 1909, to Nels P. and Caroline (Skold) Lindquist. He attended school in the Clarkfield area. Oscar was united in marriage to Bertha Margaret Erickson in 1931. They made their home in the Clarkfield and Montevideo area. Margaret passed away in March of 1982. Oscar had made his home at the Clarkfield Care Center for the past 15 years. He passed away peacefully at the Care Center on Thursday, June 19th, 1997, at the age of 87 years, 7 months, and 30 days. He is survived by his brother George Lindquist, of the Clarkfield Care Center; and his family: son Earl (and Beulah) Lindquist of Clarkfield, Minnesota, and daughters Leona (and James) Stefferud, Reading, Minnesota, Shirley (and Frank) O'Neil, Worthington, Minnesota, and Janice Nelson of Clarkfield, Minnesota. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Oscar was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, four brothers and four sisters. Blessed be his memory.
