Oscar H. Hennen was born April 16, 1903, at Boyd, Minnesota, the son of Henry and Manda (Erickson) Hennen. He was baptized in the Lutheran faith and confirmed May 25, 1919, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Boyd, by Rev. Ludvig Pedersen. On November 6, 1930, he was united in marriage to Olga Johnson. To this union four children were born: Blanche (Mrs. T. Wesley Lynne) of Clarkfield, JoAnn (Mrs. Ronald Larson) of Minneapolis, Ronald of Wabasso, and a daughter who passed away in infancy. The couple spent their entire married life in Boyd where Oscar worked as a mechanic and repairman. He passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 24, 1968, at the age of 65 years. Preceding him in death were his daughter, his parents, two brothers and one sister. Left to mourn his early departure are his widow, Olga; his children; eleven grandchildren; two brothers, Clarence of Milaca and Raymond of Madison; one sister, Evelyn (Mrs. Ray Johnson) of Chicago, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
