IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Oscar Albert
Anderson
April 27, 1906 – April 28, 1995
Oscar Albert Anderson was born April 27, 1906 at his farm home in Swede Prairie Township to Olaf A. Anderson and Mary Marie Larson Anderson. He was baptized confirmed at Swede Home Lutheran Church by Pastor Anderson. He attended Country School District 90. Oscar helped his dad with his farm work until June 6, 1936 when he and Elsie E. Galow were married and his dad moved to Minneota. Oscar and Esie farmed until Oscar's health failed and he retired. Oscar lived on the farm all his life. He served on the Town Board for 16 years and on the school board of District 90. He worked and served on the church council and helped to build the new Swede Home Church after the old edifice burned. He enjoyed his farming and loved fishing. He loved his church and attended regularly until his health failed. Oscar passed away at his home on Friday evening, April 28, 1995, at the age of 89 years and 1 day. He is survived by his wife, Elsie, and his four children: Ray (wife, Marilyn), Darryl (wife, Shirley), LaVilla Jibben (husband, Arlin), and Larry (wife, Jeannine); 18 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. "God is everywhere and He is with Oscar now when he was taken to his final resting place, where there is no suffering and pain. He is resting peacefully. Oscar had great faith in his Lord and Savior. Faith in God is most beautiful and life affirming but it is not a guarantee against illness and death."
