Orville Ingvald Saue was born June 9, 1930, in Swift County, Minnesota, to Carl Oscar and Ida Amanda (Lynne) Saue. He was baptized at Jevnaker Lutheran Church and confirmed at Our Redeemers Lutheran Church of Benson, Minnesota. Orville was employed by Taystee Bread for 22 years and Bitumonous Roadways and Brenteson Road Construction, until his retirement. He was a member of the Montevideo American Legion and the Cerro Gordo Softball League. He was the Pitching Coach for the Montevideo High School Girls Fastpitch Softball Team for several years. Orville passed away early Sunday morning, August 8, 1999, at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital, Montevideo, Minnesota, at the age of 69 years and 2 months. He is survived by his wife, Shirley, of Clarkfield, Minnesota; and children: Lucy Dack, Clinton, Wisconsin, Janice (Dallas) Larson, Cannon Falls, Minnesota, Betty (Dale) Robinson, Independence, Iowa, Emma Harvey, West St. Paul, Minnesota, Theresa Dencklau, Prior Lake, Minnesota, Julia (Kevin) Warner, Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, and Kevin (Wilsa) Saue, Hilo, Hawaii; and stepchildren: Karen Thompson, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Gwen (Dennis) Kvistad, Wood Lake, Minnesota, Nadine, (Bruce) Albertson, Clarkfield, Minnesota, Candy (Gordy) Albertson, Clarkfield, Minnesota, Angie (Wayne) Viessman, Gary, South Dakota, Greg (Jen) McCoy, Appleton, Minnesota, and Jason McCoy, Hutchinson, Minnesota. Also surviving are 29 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and brothers: George (Phyllis) and Percy; and sisters: Cora (Julien) Gilbertson and Alice Dougherty; sister-in-law LaVilla Saue; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Leslie; grandson Chad Luitjens; and son-in-law, Ernie Dack. (The family prefers memorials to the Alzheimers Association.)
