Orren Quenemoen was born December 11, 1904, at Dawson, Minnesota, to Oscar and Jennie (Aamodt) Quenemoen. He was baptized and confirmed by Pastor Froiland at Dawson and attended school there. He later began sales work at Dawson and Boyd. On November 26, 1939, he married Hazelle Amundson of Boyd where they made their home until they moved to Stanwood, Washington, in 1940. He was engaged in sales and defense work for the Navy. They returned in 1948 to make their home in Clarkfield where he was a salesman in the Chevrolet garage until the garage closed. Since then he was employed by YMC Motors of Granite Falls, Minnesota, until his illness began last March. He was hospitalized in Clarkfield and then at the University Hospital in Minneapolis where he underwent surgery on March 14. His death came suddenly, June 2, 1975, while on a trip to Montevideo. Survivors include his wife Hazelle; twin sons, Gary and wife Sharon of Edina, Minnesota, and Gerald and wife Linda of New Hope, Minnesota; two grandchildren, Timothy and Alison; sister Cora Ridgeway of Bonita Springs, Florida; and brother Marvin Quenemoen of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. His parents and an infant son Peter Lee preceded him in death. IN MEMORY OF ORREN A.
