Obituary

Ordean Ivian Kise was born at Clarkfield, Minnesota, on June 26, 1930, to parents Oscar and Irene (Jacobson) Kise. He was baptized at Spring Creek Lutheran Church of Normania Township, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, and confirmed there in 1944. Ordean served in the United States Army from July of 1954 to July of 1957. While in the service, he worked as an airplane mechanic, a career he would continue doing. He worked in California as a mechanic for McDonald Douglas for many years. Ordean returned to Clarkfield about four years ago. He had been active in the Sons of Norway, Shriners, and the Masons. He also had been involved with the National Guard from Dawson, Minnesota. He was very interested in government and politics and computers. Ordean's health began to fail in late 2003 and he spent time in various hospitals and nursing homes. He passed away at the Johnson Memorial Home in Dawson on Thursday, January 15, 2004, at the age of 73 years, 6 months, and 20 days. He is survived by two sons: William of Clarkfield and Richard of Las Vegas, Nevada. He is also survived by one brother: Howard of Minneapolis; two sisters: Marlys (and Jim) Hansen of Bemidji, Minnesota, and LeAnn (and Ron) Moe of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Gary; sisters Betty Ann and Corrine; and brother Burdett.
